Carol Corey grew up in the Pacific Northwest and came to California as a television news anchor/reporter for a network affiliate in Fresno. She developed a specialty in legal affairs reporting which kindled interest in working as a trial attorney.
After graduating as valedictorian from law school, she began her legal career as a deputy district attorney for Fresno County. She joined the firm in 1988 and became a partner in 1997. Her trial practice includes the following areas:

- Business litigation, including defense of Unfair Business Practices Act claims
- Products Liability
- Automobile and Premises Liability
