Andrew Sorensen began his career as a Deputy Public Defender for Fresno County. During his four years there, he tried numerous cases, including major felony trials. In 1982, he joined one of Fresno’s oldest civil law firms, Lerrigo, Walters, Nibler, Moss & Berryman, where he became a partner in 1985. During his time with the firm, Mr. Sorensen handled business litigation matters in Federal court and State court for numerous local employers, as well as major companies, such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo Bank, Production Credit Association and American National Bank.
With his present firm of Emerson, Corey & Sorensen, Andrew Sorensen’s primary areas of practice are employment law, insurance defense, business litigation and agricultural law. Mr. Sorensen is the owner of a major agricultural concern in Wisconsin.
Andrew Sorensen is a member of the Fresno County Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court – Eastern District of California and Central District of California; the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal; the United States District Court – Western District of Wisconsin; and the Seventh District Court of Appeals. He is a member of the business, employment, and agricultural sections of the State Bar of California.
